Master and Commander

March 2008
Taba, Egypt
Like a master strategist, the commander surveys the sea at his feet: how far away are those ships from shore, how many people are swimming below, how long will that camel sit on the beach today?
As the day starts to get away from him, the situation must be assessed before the dire dusk disposes of the sun. The ship, the swim, the camel. Ship, swim, camel. Ship- ah hell with it. It’s time for another drink.
