Take a closer look at the portion above. The primary ingredient, the chicken is infested with the greens.  Maybe that`s what makes the dish so delectable.

The only other place where You can find  more color in a plate has to be a finely roasted, thin crust Mediterranean pizza with oodles of Cheese to compensate for the missing bird.

Oh.. By the way there`s one more way to have the bird. and that`s the way they do it around the Mediterranean. Some Greek, Turkish and Lebanese flavors in a platter, if You`re just looking for a starter, which has an array of cold and hot elements.

In case You want to avoid the pain of dipping your portion into a dip everytime You need to have a bite, then for You, there is the Moroccan Stuffed chicken. All the spices and the herbs are tucked tight into the space which once housed the internal organs of the late bird. Go ahead, just hork it down.

And if You like the stuffed chicken variety, then may I recommend "Ghazab ka Seena", which is chicken breasts stuffed with cheese and marinated in Indian herbs.

Does Your stomach now feel like a shrine for the dead of the chicken folk? It`s been the final resting place for so many of them.

Let`s talk about greens now.
 We have a fine assortment of Asian greens resting over pan fried noodles, for You. This assortment has broccoli, corn kernels and roasted dry pepper in white sauce.

While we Indians may take pride in our excusite vegetarian cusine cooked and consumed by our predominantly vegetarian populace, our neighbours to our south and east have clearly perfected the art of cooking and serving veggies. The servings that look so beautiful that You can`t resist digging into the portions.

A similar assortment of vegetables and herbs can also be floated on a pool of Thai curry over a plateau of rice

This one here is typical of the South East Asian cusine, but if You`re game enough for Fusion, then combining Pasta with Palak can be a fantastic Idea. The Greasy, Saucy nature of Palak(Spinach) combines wonderfully with Pasta to give a wonderful taste.

Experimentatiion with food cleary has it`s rewards, if You are imaginative enough.
Like serving Prawns with cherries in a cup for instance.

To be honest, my palate is conditioned to find some of the above creations a bit tricky to handle. For me the `eat street` is laid out on the spice route. A familiar spread of breads, Chicken in a spicy gravy, with ginger and coriander dressing and a modest portion of yellowed rice is my all time favorite.


Finally some desserts for You. A big scoop of icecream over a rich chocolate cake. Yumm!!

Shooting Beauty

And We are back, with the Monsoons, with a fresh chapter of ShotStories.
This is the story of how this chapter came into being.
Meet Olga, a PhotoPro`s delight from the Karma model agency.

A professional Muse with the textbook proportions and features, that would make You jealous of Ukraine, her country of origin. Jealous also, for the degree of proficiency that She brings to modelling. We have a nice and colorfull story and a canvas so good that it makes scripting effortless.

This chapter is all about the complete Urban Monsoon look.

The rains bring out the life in us and the irrepressible urge to soak in the rain. Alas! the phone in Your pocket in not waterproof.
To potray this happy go feather lite mood we picked up this dress from Kazo for Olga. This dress, because it lets You feel the the cool monsoon breeze on the better part of Your skin. It`s pleats and fall give this dress windy fluttery look, so in tune with the weather outside.









Combine the look with those danglers from Ravissant and that bold rustic ring from Esbeda.The Danglers and the Ring have a somewhat Stoney, Earthen feel about them. What we liked about them was the way metal had been married to stone here.

But this is the look for the day in the rains.Post sunset we can think of a sexy black and bold look. And again we picked up this off shouldered dress from Kazo with lots of shimmer.

Now picture the feel the cool wind on your skin and the sparkle of rain drops in the night.

To this Black spark we added this innovative, lovely metallic neck piece from Kazo, to picturise the feel of cold smooth metal on the
skin over Your shoulder?

We`ve combined those footwear from Mochi cause we thought, that Your feet might be going through a puddle or two.

Speaking of Metallic Feel neck pieces, here`s another one from Esbeda. Some metallic Flora and Fauna around Your neck!

Later on, We got bolder and sexier, by blowing an ocher yellow hole in the dark of the night with this dress from Turquoise and Gold.

Perfect Color Blocking on Eyes to Break the monotony!

We picked another dress from Turquoise and Gold to declare a riot of colors.

Riot because such is the nature of Rains, and of colors because that is what the home screen of Your brain looks like when You`re happily drenched.

We then spread the riot to every nook and corner of Olga`s neck line with that classy neck piece from Esbeda. We chose this piece for it`s fresh and light appeal.
You can add still more color with this bag from the same brand.

Not content with these many colors we decided to slip Olga into these fantastic Pumps from Mochi. Literally translated, Mochi means "Cobbler" to most Indians. Clearly our roadside cobbler has come a long way!

And after all the ornamentation and glamourisation, this is what Olga came to be.

A Great PhotoShoot is the culmination of Great Elements.
We had Akriti Kochar, Beauty & Makeup Expert, Oriflame India, who gave these interesting looks for our exclusive shoot. That`s her in the pic below on the left.

To electrify things further we got ourselves a muscleman from Blliss by Ravissant.

Mike the muscleman brought the kind the dexterity and deftness that is hard to believe coming from a being of his proportions. Some wizadry later He converted Olga into an another person.
That`s him here, and this is what He did?

The venue for this shoot was Blliss by Ravissant, a High end Salon and Spa in Delhi. Blliss offered us the perfect domain for the exercise, in terms of the oodles of space to maneuver with all our paraphernalia, and the fantastic interiors. All we had to do was just work with the subject, the backgrounds could`nt have been better

The Tools of our Trade

And God said "Let there be the Nikon D70s" 

Some time in 2005 the Nikon D70s came to me. It came to me like an automatic rifle would come to a Bronze age hunter Gatherer. This camera is the product of a rare coming together of great technologies and design ideas, that happens once in a rare while in the chronology of Digital cameras.
Seven years later this camera continues to amaze me with the results. No wonder, my hand keeps reaching out to it for all photo ops.This camera came with a standard kit lens of 28~80mm G specification which further made it a great package.
The fact that 1.7million copies of this lens were sold before production ceased, speaks volumes about it`s performance. Extremely fast with auto focus and extremely sharp at most focal lengths, this lens was scandalously cheap. If we were to write a concise history of Nikon`s DSLRs, then this camera with this lens would definitely be there.

The D70`s battery just refuses to drain even after an entire day of clicking and flashing. One day I left it on power ON mode and the camera was still breathing fire the next day 24hours later. 

As digital cameras today splurge on megapixels, the D70s stands outpixeled with it`s 6.1 megapixel sensor. But far from hitting obsolescence and redundancy, this camera can help create poster sized prints of stunning clarity. Check out the pic on the left, at full pixel view. You can make out the tiny hair on the butterfly`s body.
I swear by my trusted D70s, that this is the actual unedited picture This camera is the AK-47 of DSLRs, an old and classic design, which still packs a punch. Consistently!

I complemented my inventory with the Nikon D5100 in early 2012. Another evolutionary marvel from Nikon`s gene pool, this camera reproduces color and skin tones that make You wonder if the subject is just as good. It`s 16.2 Megapixel sensor produces images that are microscopic in detail, when observed in actual pixel size. If You wish to get playful, then this camera offers You full HD movie function as well as an inbuilt HDR function. Connect it to Your Television set and viewYour High Definition movies in Awe, if not in shock.

And here are some pieces of Heavy Artillery in our armory, in the form of Flash Lights from the Elinchrom stable. For a start we began with our newage models in the house, our kids

This gentleman here provided us some of our best candid pictures of a baby, much like the kid in your house whose every step, move, act You so wished to capture for all eternity. The same kid who one day will be too old to be as cute and photogenic.
You can also buy one of these DSLRs and grow as a photopro with the kid or call us over to capture some candid kid moments. You`ll be amazed what a DSLR in professional hands could accomplish.

And this is what we do with just the camera, and Mind You, not the Photoshop, cause You see, we are a bit old fashioned. We`ve been lucky to have been joined by another fantastic model in this lady. Tantrums Galore, She`s been an absolute delight for the photographer.
The Gentleman and the Lady have grown up to be peskier beings and continue to amuse us with more facial theatrics and juvenile antics

I wish somebody could click me with my kids and be just as good too. But, the flipside of being a photopro is that You are nowhere in Your photographs. That may not have to be the case with You, if we are around.

Kids in their revelous best show their true colors, a moment in time worth freezing. (or for studying Fluid Dynamics). It`s taken me Thirteen years as a news cameraperson in Delhi to develop an intuition for the perfect shot. Thinking on the feet and moving with speed is what keeps You going, cause if You`re capturing life, then there`ll be no retakes. Shot story telling, capturing on the go.

Or out holidaying in the sun, on the beach, in the forest, over the hill around a rare vacation with the family, or maybe just some quality time with family brats at home.

These poses come naturally to children, asking them for one might take the fun out of clicking Your kids. We never tell our models to Pose.
Do You remember being this pesky , cheeky, animated? NO!
Well, inside every older person is a small child wondering "just what the Hell happened!".
I wonder how we can go on a vacation with You, but a picnic for a day over the weekend should be just as good. What do You say?

Our experiments in candid photography have amazed ourselves, with the results. And candid children`s photography for us, has been a great learning experience both in terms of professional photography and Children.

And here are the three models, now grown up, in a classic "hand in the cookie jar moment".
